One of my very favorite things about being a wedding photographer here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is the opportunity to photograph Bridal Portraits at beautiful southern locations like Rosedown Plantation in St Francisville, Louisiana. Rosedown Plantation offers the perfect backdrop for a Southern Bridal Session with the Spanish Moss covered Oak Trees, The Great House and the many gardens with winding paths .The Historic Home was established in the 1830s by Daniel and Martha Barrow Turnbull. Today it is owned by the State of Louisiana and is a National Historic Landmark.

Heather's easy going and playful personality
shows in this adorable shot below.
About halfway through the Bridal Session Heather's mom asked if we could take some shots with her grandmother's stole. I was thrilled to have such a lovely heirloom to add to the texture and the earthy color palette that we were surrounded by, it was the perfect addition.
I loved the fact that Heather's wedding dress had nice, comfy pockets, as did her Bridesmaids dresses I later found out!
Photographing Heather's Bridal Portraits at Rosedown Plantation along with the beautiful weather, gorgeous oak trees and sun dappled paths, reminded how much I love what I do and how lucky am I to have such a satisfying career. Thank you for visiting my blog!
